Description

The Resident Engineer is responsible for overseeing on-site project execution, ensuring that construction or engineering activities are carried out according to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role acts as the primary link between the client, contractors, and consultants at the project site.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily site activities and ensure compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Review and approve materials, shop drawings, and method statements
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance procedures are implemented
  • Verify measurements, quantities, and certify contractor invoices and work progress
  • Manage site documentation, including reports, logs, and correspondence
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PEC registration) preferred
